Are We on Mars?

Yesterday, Chicago and the rest of the midwest dealt with frigid temperatures that never registered above negative. I think it might have set a record. All I know is that one town in Minnesota was literally colder than the surface of Mars. Cool. Now we know we can survive at least a day on Mars. It was a dangerous, semi thrilling, definitely newsworthy day – and everyone stayed indoors.

Except for me.

A couple of my friends and I won tickets to a premiere party for our favorite show: GIRLS. Would temperatures colder than the south pole stop us from jumping in a cab and treating ourselves to free tacos and hot toddies? Almost. But we braved it and are SO glad we did. Thanks for an amazing premiere party, HBO! We love free stuff, and we love GIRLS. It was such a great night, I forgot about the subzero bone chilling weather for a few hours.

And this photo happened. Sometimes a cheesy photo is good for the soul.
