P.S. She Loves It

I’m not going to cry, scream in excitement, or jump for joy while writing this post. This is mainly because I’m at work and such behavior is frowned upon. Quite frankly, I don’t feel like crying. I took care of that in the smallest doses I could manage at the airport yesterday. But I absolutely feel like harnessing a good screaming/jumping combo. This is for one reason: My little sister left for Ireland yesterday! Her semester abroad in the fantastic city of Galway began today and I am the most excited I’ve been since about 2 or 3 weeks ago when I bought my ticket to visit her in March (YES!). I’m prepped and ready to stalk her blog and photos. Last I heard, she was happy, excited, nearly moved in, and lacking groceries! Can I get a thunderous “amen” for What’s App and Viber?

I am so in love with Ireland as a whole. I can’t wait to experience more through her eyes and then explore in 8 weeks when I get there! Is it too early to make plans? I will be traveling with my parents and possibly one of my brothers as well. This will be a family trip to remember, that’s for sure.

Here are some things I’d like to see and do:

The Cliffs, round 2. (We want Moher, we want Moher!)

Killarney

Blarney

Dingle

Wicklow National Park

Connemara National Park

Kylemore Abbey

Aran Islands

Claddagh shop

Toasted soda bread with butter (just drooled on my desk)

Magners (I mean Bulmers). Please.

Wool & Cable Knit Everything.

And finally: Never come back!

[Hope you’ve enjoyed your first day, M!]

  1. Hey Alex!
I’m studying abroad this upcoming spring in Hong Kong!

I’d really appreciate it if you’d follow my journey through Asia by following my blog too!

    Best,
    Chris 😀
