14 Books

Goodreads is a website I like to frequent for book reviews and suggestions, and also to keep tabs on what books I’ve read and want to read. It’s really a one stop shop for book nerds. I recently visited to update my “Currently Reading” status (I Am Malala, and just finished Where’d You Go Bernadette) and noticed they had a 2014 reading challenge. This is really brilliant. A website where you can track everything you’ve read, mark books you’d like to read, check out reviews of books, and now they want to challenge me? I told you – one stop shop for book nerds. When it was all said and done, I challenged myself to read 14 books this year.

I have a friend who wants to read 60. It’s all relative. Anyway I’ve already finished 2 so maybe I’ll blow my challenge out of the water and really kick it in the pants. 14 books was one of my new year’s resolutions, and I think it will be possible. Maybe next year I will up the ante.

As it turns out, Where’d You Go Bernadette was a book club read. I’ll review that after we meet this weekend.  I laughed a lot while reading it and am anxious to hear what the girls thought.

I also thought I’d start adding a note at the end about what I’m listening to while writing posts. Always open to suggestions!
